Ciputra Group Conducts Social Movement Related to Covid-19

Ciputra Group through its various subsidiaries has carried out the social care movement to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic. These movements include material assistance and supporting facilities in the social, health and cultural arts fields.

According to Managing Director of Ciputra Group Budiarsa Sastrawinata, corporation provided assistance in health facilities at Ciputra Hospital CitraGarden City Jakarta and Ciputra Hospital CitraRaya Tangerang. Details of assistances are 210 beds for isolation room, ventilators, and personal protective equipment. “Ciputra Hospital continues to carry out its mission by helping patients who need treatment, both Covid-19 and other disease patients with a building separation, to ensure that transmission does not occur,” said Budiarsa Sastrawinata.

Managing Director of the Ciputra Group Harun Hajadi conveyed that assistance was also channeled through the Budha Tzu Chi Foundation, where the agency acted as the aid manager who would later distribute the aid to the public or institutions. In addition, Ciputra University Surabaya also distributed assistance to Dr. M. Soewandi Hospital and 7 Health Centers in Surabaya, in the form of personal protective equipment, masks, vitamins, and beverage packages. “Ciputra Group has high commitment to support the government in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic. We hope this pandemic will quickly pass so that all government activities, social and business climate will be normal, “said Harun Hajadi.

Candra Ciputra informed that the assistance are in cash, masks, hand sanitizers, digital thermometers, disinfectant spray equipment, vitamins, portable sinks, personal protective equipment packages for medical personnel, and basic needs for people who affected by pandemics. “The assistance was provided by Ciputra Group projects located in Greater Jakarta, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Malang, Sidoarjo, Bandar Lampung, Pekanbaru, Bali, Makassar, Kendari, and Manado,” said Candra Ciputra.

Candra Ciputra added that Ciputra Group also cares for arts and culture workers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. It conducts fundraising actions, where the assistance will later be given to art workers and daily workers. This program, which is initiated by Ciputra Artpreneur Jakarta, considering that only less attention given to the cultural arts workers, eventhough almost all activities and performances were stopped. Nevertheless, they are one of the main cogs of the creative industry in Indonesia.
