Mojokerto Government Collaborates With Ciputra University of Surabaya to Establishes Entrepreneurship Development Program
Mojokerto Government cooperates with Ciputra University of Surabaya to enhance regional development in the field of entrepreneurship development, through “Tri Dharma University”. The collaboration ceremony took place on Monday (20/2), at Mojokerto Government Office, East Java, marked with signing agreement by Regent of Mojokerto Ikfina Fahmawati and Rector Ciputra University of Surabaya Ir. Yohannes Somawiharja MSc.
Yohannes said that this collaboration was a starting point to do something useful with government organization. Ciputra University of Surabaya, which was founded by the late Mr. Ciputra, keep trying to disseminate the entrepreneurial spirit. “For example, we don’t have a fine arts department. However, we have a design major that is more communal, social, and relates to other people. That’s where entrepreneurial values can be built and instilled,” said Yohannes.
Mojokerto Regent Ikfina Fahmawati hopes this collaboration able to bring positive impacts at Mojokerto Regency. He gave example how to make local products can be purchased easily by buyers. “Actually, many of our local entrepreneurs capable to produce quality products, such as bags and shoes. But the problem is, they find difficulties to sell it to the market,” he said.
