Parahyangan University Students Visit Ciputra Artpreneur
A total of 161 students and 6 supervisors from the Architecture Department of Parahyangan Catholic University in Bandung visited Ciputra Artpreneur Jakarta. The visit of the academics of Parahyangan Catholic University in Bandung is in order to learn about how to design a building of international musical performances.
According to A. Danang Widaryanto, one of the lecturers from the Catholic University (Unika) Parahyangan Bandung, the students of architecture need to be introduced to various architectural models of buildings, one of which is a musical performance building.
“The aim is to enrich students with a variety of models or architectural building designs. Especially for our students who are currently in the fifth semester, we want to try to introduce them to the architectural model of musical performances, “said Danang.
Danang saw that Ciputra Artpreneur Jakarta was a very interesting building object to study. In addition to having international standards for performance buildings, Ciputra Artpreneur Jakarta is also very unique because it has a variety of types and functions of buildings which consist of Theater, Museum and Gallery.
Danang added, the other uniqueness of Ciputra Artpreneur Jakarta is the location of the building which is integrated with the shopping center, namely Lotte Shopping Avenue at Ciputra World 1 Jakarta. During this visit, the supervisor emphasized the students to learn about interior design, acoustic system arrangement, and building integration models.
“Thus, they have many references and comparisons about how to design a musical performance building. Of course, we will also introduce them to learn about other building models, such as stadiums, high-rise buildings, and others, “Danang said.
The students and lecturers also had the opportunity to visit the Ciputra Artpreneur Museum which currently exhibits 32 paintings and 18 sketches from the Indonesian art maestro, Hendra Gunawan. After the Museum, all students and lecturers then continued their visit to the Ciputra Artpreneur Theater.
Ciputra Artpreneur Jakarta President Director Rina Ciputra Sastrawinata said that Ciputra Artpreneur Jakarta consists of the Gallery, Museum and Theater. Until now, Ciputra Artpreneur Jakarta has won several international and national awards, including :
- Gold Winner in the 2016 FIABCI Prix d’Exellence Award, in Panama City.
- Two awards from the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI), namely: Gallery of exhibitions with the largest projection screen, and Theater performances on the highest floor (located on the 13th floor).
- Gold Winner in the 2016 REI (Real Estate Indonesia) Property Awards award Category Purpose Build.
“Ciputra Artpreneur aims to develop Indonesia’s creative industry through arts and cultural-based empowerment activities with a broad scope ranging from fine arts, arts and design, architectural arts, performing arts, to music,” said Rina.
